    Aldo Nova (born Aldo Caporuscio on November 13, 1956, in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist and producer, born to Italian immigrant parents Anna Sardelli and Bernardo Caporuscio. Nova gained fame with his self-titled debut album Aldo Nova in 1981, and its accompanying single "Fantasy", which climbed to #23 on the Billboard Hot 100. Nova's follow-up album, Subject...Aldo Nova, followed a loose concept format and was less successful. His popularity continued to wane with the release of Twitch in 1985, after which Nova briefly retired from touring. By the time Nova decided to make a comeback on the music scene in 1990, enlisting the help of Jon Bon Jovi, the industry had changed and the record, Blood on the Bricks, suffered from lack of promotion.
