    Alemayehu Eshete (also written Alèmayèhu Eshèté, as in French) is an Ethiopian Ethio-jazz singer active since the 1960s. He primarily sings in Amharic. Volume 9 of the Ethiopiques series is devoted to his earlier music. Volume 22 of the same series covers his career between 1972 and 1974.
