Between the Trees is an indie rock band from Orlando, Florida. Formed in early 2005, on September 19, 2006 they released their first album The Story and the Song, under the independent label Bonded Records. The record is scheduled for national release in 2007. |issue=125 |pages=28 }} The band has been involved with To Write Love on Her Arms, a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting hope to those who struggle with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. Two songs on their album are based upon that organization and the problems it hopes to solve. Between the Trees, developed in the west side of Orlando, began with lead vocalist Ryan Kirkland and the brothers, Josh and Jeremy Butler. In the early stages this small trio started as a worship band at thelement, the student ministry at Discovery Church. Soon after, in Spring 2005, they chose a keyboardist, Wes Anderso
