B(if)tek is an Australian electronic music duo comprising Kate Crawford and
Nicole Skeltys, originally from Canberra, who have released three albums as
of 2005. In 2006, Crawford began hosting an experimental music television
show Set on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. B(if)tek have a long
association with the Clan Analogue collective. It is rumoured that the
band received a grant from the Federal Government to investigate the
effects of low frequency sounds on people. Kate Crawford is also a
lecturer at Sydney University.
"Biftek" is Japanese for steak
