Boris the Sprinkler :

Boris the Sprinkler was a pop-punk band that formed in Green Bay, Wisconsin
in 1992, known for their zaniness and abnormality. Their aesthetic seemed
to borrow from Devo and The Dickies. They display a sci-fi bizarro style
reminiscent of Buckaroo Bonzai.
Fronted by the motor-mouthed Reverend Norb, whose persona landed somewhere
along the lines of the manic DJ of a morning show themed around collecting
obscure power pop, new wave, and punk records, as well as comic books and a
healthy dose of all things Monkees. Live Boris performances were almost
half punk show and half improvisational stand-up comedy, as breaks between
lighting-fast renditions of their catalog were filled to the rim with Norb
joking a hundred words per minute about obscure pop culture minutae,
usually to humorous effect.
