Britny Fox are a glam metal band from the Philadelphia area, currently
featuring lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Tommy Paris (real name Don
Jillson), lead guitarist Michael Kelly Smith (real name Michael Smerick),
bassist Billy Childs (real name Billy Degley), and drummer Johnny Dee
(real name Johnny DiTeodoro). They are best known for their music video
"Girlschool" and their Billboard Hot 100 hit "Long Way to Love (#100)".
They released a demo titled In America in 1986, which drummer Tony Destra
reportedly played on. Their first album Britny Fox (1988) was one of the
most successful premieres of the 1988-89 season, selling about one million
copies and bringing more than 625,000 fans to their 130+ shows. They also
won Metal Edge Magazine's 1988 Reader's Choice Award for Best New Band.
After the release of their second album Boys in Heat (1989), original
frontman Davidson left the group, and formed the group Blackeyed Susan. He
