Carlos Careqa, Brazilian singer, composer and actor. Born 3th August, 1961, Guatá - Santa Catarina, Brazil. Carlos Careqa is the best-known musician to come out of Curitiba, and it tookgetting out of Curitiba to become better known. He's been living in São Paulosince the early '90s, where he recorded his two CDs, Os Homens São Todos Iguaisand Música Para Final de Século (Thanx God Records). The highlight of the firstdisc was the song "Não Dê Pipoca ao Turista," which begins with the defiantline "Eu gosto de Curitiba" (I like Curitiba). The love song "Acho" (I think),from the same disc, was included in David Byrne's compilation Beleza Tropical Five Albums already released: PELO PÚBLICO (Thanx God/Tratore)Lançado em 2006, com a participação do Cantor Falcão.
