Carol Jiani is a Nigerian born, Canadaian singer who debuted after the peak of Disco in the American mainstream. Jiani's exact birthdate remains unknown to the general public. Jiani was probably born between 1958 and 1960. Career She moved to Montreal, Canada to commence her caeer as a professional performer and recording artist. Jiani's debut album featured the hit title track, "Hit N Run Lover." The title track became a major hit on the Club Play Singles chart peaking at #4. She also scored another huge American hit with "Get Up and Do It Again" (#4 Club/Dance and #64 R&B) in 1982. Jiani sang the vocals for the song, but she was unable to take credit for the recording, as she had a contractual conflict. In 1982, another version of "Get on Up and Do it Again" was recorded by former "Mizz" lead singer Michele Mills and included in an album by the same name released on the RFC/Atlantic label.
