Biography Cave In
Cave In is an alternative/rock/metal band that formed in 1995, in Methuen,
Massachusetts.
Biography The band began with a revolving door of vocalists appearing on a
handful of 7" releases that were later compiled together for the band's
first long-form record for Hydra Head Records, Beyond Hypothermia.
Two weeks before the band was to record their second full-length, their
vocalist left the band forcing guitarist Steven Brodsky to perform vocals
for the release. The second album,Until Your Heart Stops was Brodsky's
first as lead vocalist. The album's release was followed by extensive
touring.
In 2000, the band released Jupiter.Jupiter received a good deal of press.
The band was featured in Spin Magazine's "Sound Advice" section, where
their new sound was described as "emo-metal Radiohead." Jupiter also caught
the attention of major labels, who began courting the band
