Biography Cold Sun

Cold Sun
Cold Sun, also known as Dark Shadows, was a United States psychedelic rock band from Austin, Texas. They recorded one album in 1970, which remained unreleased until 1989 when the Rockadelic label issued a limited vinyl edition of the album as Dark Shadows. The band had a very distinctive sound, distinguished by the prominent use of electric auto-harp played by vocalist Bill Miller. Miller later joined former 13th Floor Elevators member Roky Erickson's band BleibAlien and is also featured on the 1979 CBS album by Roky Erickson & the Aliens. The band's line-up included Hugh Patton playing drums, Bill Miller on vocals and electric autoharp, Tom McGarrigle playing guitar and Mike Waugh on bass guitar. While in a different order on the 1989 release, the songs featured for release were originally organized in this fashion: · "South Texas" (Miller) · "Twisted Flower" (Miller)
