Craig G (born Craig Morgan) is a rapper who hails from the Queensbridge
housing project in Queens, New York, USA. Craig is best known as one of
the original members of hip hop producer Marley Marl's Cold Chillin'
Records group the Juice Crew, which consisted of other hip hop acts such
as Big Daddy Kane, Kool G. Rap, Masta Ace and Biz Markie among others.
Craig G is known for his battles with fellow freestyler MC Supernatural.
In 1994, Craig handed Supernatural the first major loss in his career,
after producing a line which revealed Supernatural's true origin (Indiana)
and a reference to pop culture in Mike Tyson. Craig appears on the 2000
documentary "Freestyle: The Art Of Rhyme" to discuss the battle and the
controversy surrounding it.
In 2002, Craig wrote the majority of the battle lyrics from the hit motion
picture 8 Mile in which platinum selling rapper Eminem played the lead in
his big screen debut as a battle hungr
