Yukiru Sugisaki's D.N.Angel manga began its run in Japan in Monthly Asuka in 1997 and inspired a 26-episode anime adaptation in 2003. The manga is published in English by Tokyopop. The manga currently consists of 11 volumes in tank?bon form. While the storyline has not yet ended, no new material has been released since the August 2005 issue of Monthly Asuka. Sugisaki announced on November 22, 2007 that Asuka would have more information about the series' return in its Dec. 22nd, 2007 issue. In a January blog entry Sugisaki stated that 2008 will see lots of new chapters of the serie
