Damhnait Doyle (born December 9, 1975 in Labrador City, Newfoundland and
Labrador, Canada) is a Canadian pop singer from Newfoundland and Labrador.
Her first name (which is Irish) is pronounced "davnet", which also serves
as the title of her most recent album. She is a member of Atlantic Canadian
regional supergroup, Shaye with Kim Stockwood and Tara MacLean.
Biography Doyle took singing, guitar and clarinet lessons as a child, and
released her debut album, Shadows Wake Me, in 1996. The lead single, "A
List of Things", was a hit on the Canadian pop charts, and the album
garnered a Juno award nomination and several East Coast Music Awards
nominations for Doyle.
In 2000, Doyle released her follow-up album, Hyperdramatic. She scored
another pop hit with "Tattooed", which had a particularly memorable video
featuring Doyle dismembered and slowly trying to reassemble her scattered
