Dean Geyer (born 20 March 1986 in Johannesburg, South Africa) is a singer who finished third in the talent contest Australian Idol 2006. In the weeks leading up to the final of Australian Idol 2006, Geyer was selected by both Mark Holden and former Australian Idol judge Ian Dickson as their favourites for winning the competition. In 2006, Geyer secured a recording contract with SonyBMG along with fellow idol, Jessica Mauboy. On 5 May 2007, If You Don't Mean It (co-written by Chris Braidle) was released as the first single from Geyer's album Rush, which was released on 2007-05-26.
