Deathstars is an industrial metal band formed in Sweden in January 2000. The original lineup included Andreas Bergh (Whiplasher Bernadotte) on lead vocals, Erik Halvorsen (Beast X Electric) on guitar, Emil Nödtveidt (Nightmare Industries) on guitar and keyboards, and Ole Öhman (Bone W Machine) on drums. The current lineup consists primarily of members from Swordmaster, a black metal project and Ophthalamia , but also has former members of Dissection. The band currently consists of Whiplasher Bernadotte, Nightmare Industries, Skinny Disco (bass guitar, backing vocals), Bone W Machine and Cat Casino (guitar). The band supported metal band Cradle of Filth on their 2006 tour through Europe. On Monday 29th of October Deathstars entered Metrosonic Recording Studios in NYC to begin the recording of their new album to be released in spring 2008. The mixing is set for January 2008 with the album being released in spring 2008. Current band members
