    Dick Raaijmakers
    Dick Raaijmakers (born, Maastricht, 1 september 1930) is a Dutch composer, theatre-maker, theorist and one of the pioneers in electronic music in the Netherlands. Between 1954 and 1960 he ran a lab in electro-acoustic experimentation at Philips Electronics in Eindhoven. Under the pseudo-name Kid Baltan, he produced a few pieces with the use of electronics (using tape-recorders). [LINK: someone] needs to elaborate here He was a scientific researcher at the Utrecht University in 1960 - 1962 and then he worked with Jan Boerman in their electronic music studio in The Hague from 1963 to 1966. He taught electronic and contemporary music at the Royal Conservatory (Koninklijk Conservatorium), The Hague from 1966 until his retirement in 1995.
