Dizzy Mizz Lizzy was an alternative rock band from Denmark started in 1988. The band consisted of Tim Christensen (vocals, guitar), Martin Nielsen (bass guitar) and Søren Friis (drums). The group disbanded in 1998, and have since only performed once together. Despite having great success on the homefront, the band failed to achieve success outside Denmark, besides Japan, where the band sold around 100.000 copies of both their albums. History Dizzy Mizz Lizzy was founded at Hanssted School in Valby, a suburb of Copenhagen, Denmark in 1988. The three founding members of the band were friends at school. The name was derived from the Beatles cover of the Larry Williams song Dizzy Miss Lizzy. The band entered DM i Rock, which is the Danish Championship in Rock Music in 1991, and despite reaching the final, no record companies wanted to sign the band.
