Donna Ares, real name Azra Kolakovi?, (born January 1 1977, Biha?, Yugoslavia), (now Bosnia-Herzegovina is a popular folk singer in Bosnia and Herzegovina and equally popular in the other former Yugoslav republics such as Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia. She attended the local music secondary school as well local music primary school in Biha?. She graduated in 1995. Kolakovi? even started a music academy, unfortunately she never managed to finish it due to the war that was going on in Yugoslavia at the time. In 1997 she started her solo singing career. The first time she appeared on stage was in 1997 under her stage name Donna Ares to compete with her song in the Crotian Dora competition in order to represent Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest.
