The doors composition of the poetic lyrics and sonorous voice of singer
Jim Morrison, and the jazzy blues of guitarist Rob Krieger, keyboardist
Ray Manzerak, and drummer John Densmore contributed to a novel genre of
rock. The Doors experimented with the threshold between poetry and rock n'
roll, forming ultimate originality during the 1960's. The dark and
mysterious lyric's of The Doors written by lead singer Jim Morrison
intrigued and lured a substanial portion of rock'n roll fans. The Door's
name was awakened by Jim Morrison from author William Blake's quote "If
the doors of perception were cleansed everything will appear to man as it
is, infinite...". Though the Band experienced national success, they were
often plagued with the farcical and outrageous actions of Jim Morrison who
frequently came into contact with law obiding acts on stage and drunken
and/ or "trippin" perfomances. After only a few years
