Dozer are a stoner rock band from Sweden. History Early years Dozer was formed in Borlänge, Sweden in 1995, out of the boredom of their small town youth, playing local youth centres and supporting whatever band that came to visit their hometown. In 1998 the band recorded a Split EP with the American band Unida. The EP was originally released by MeteorCity and re-issued in 2005. Breakthrough and rise to success While trying to get a record deal they sent a demo tape to Man's Ruin Records, which was one of the most influential labels in the stoner scene at the time. Frank Kozik was thoroughly impressed and the band quickly recorded an album. In the year 2000 the band?s first album In The Tail of a Comet was released. The album, which was recorded for only $500, was highly acclaimed and was on several best-of lists for that year. The band?s second album Madre De Dios was
