Dritte Wahl is a German Punk Rock Group from Rostock in the former East Germany. Dritte Wahl (translated: "Third Choice") first performed in 1988. Back then Holm was on the bass, but he left the band in 1991. The rest of the group were Busch´n (vocals, bass, ? 2005), Gunnar (guitar, vocals) and Krel (vocals, drums). Dritte Wahl make political punk rock with very direct lyrics - and were doing it back in Communist East Germany. In 1998 the band founded their own record label under the name Rausch Records, that they later renamed Dritte Wahl. On 17 January 2005, Busch´n died of stomach cancer aged 35. The surviving members didn't want to break up the band, preferring to continue their career (this was also Busch´n's express wish).
