"E.B.E." was the seventeenth episode of the first season of The X-Files
science-fiction television series created by Chris Carter.
Plot Mulder and Scully receive information from Deep Throat about a UFO
that was shot down over Iraq and has been secretly transported to the U.S.
However, Deep Throat then intentionally misleads the agents to prevent them
from discovering the truth.
Production details
· Origin Of Idea: An episode for the fans who wanted more backstory on
Deep Throat. Or, how Glen Morgan puts it, "I think it would be really cool
if he admitted he had killed an alien." The whole thing was written to get
to the line 'A lie is most convincingly hidden between two truths'.
