Eddie Bo (born Edwin Joseph Bocage, September 201930 in New Orleans, Louisiana and raised in Algiers and in the 9th Ward) is an American singer and one of the last New Orleans junker-style pianists. Schooled in jazz, he is known for his blues, soul and funk recordings, compositions, productions and arrangements. May 22nd 1997 was declared "Eddie Bo Day" in New Orleans by mayor Marc Morial while Bo was playing in Karachi, Pakistan.
