}} Slipknot is the major label debut album by Slipknot. It was released on June 29 1999 by Roadrunner Records. A digipak version was released on March 7 2000. This was followed by a "clean" version which was left completely uncensored, and contained a note in the booklet claiming censorship as being "the absolute fascism of America." Many of the tracks borrowed musical compositions from Slipknot's independently-released debut album, Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat. The album was essentially a re-recording of some old demos with some new songs like "Eyeless" being recorded as well. "Frail Limb Nursery" and "Purity" were accused of copyright infringement and removed as they are based on a fictional crime story; they were replaced with "Me Inside."
