Fiction Factory were a British band from Perth, Scotland, formed in the mid-1980s. Later on they left that band and they started writing with new band member Chic Medley (guitar). They were contacted by CBS Records and got a contract with the label. They were soon joined by Graham McGregor (bass) and Mike Ogletree (drums and percussion), a former drummer of the band Simple Minds.Gavin Tarburn (YDT) was briefly with the band playing triangle but the band decided to move into a new direction
