Geovanny Polanco (also spelled Jhovanny, Yhovanny, Yovanny, or Jovanny) is a merengue tipico accordionist from Maria Trinidad Sanchez, Nagua, Dominican Republic. He is known for his mastery of the accordion and his rivalry across the Internet and in everyday life with fellow accordionist Krency Garcia, better known as El Prodigio, and also somewhat with Kerube, head of merengue band Kerubanda. He is also noted for his authentic "tipico" music, which includes a lineup of tambora, güira, accordion, congas, saxophones, and electric bass.
