G.G. Allin And The Murder Junkies 

Biography


The Murder Junkies are an American punk band, most famous for being the backing band of notorious punk rock performer GG Allin. They were originally formed in 1991 when Allin was still in prison, consisting of GG's brother Merle Allin on bass, guitarist Chicken John Rinaldi (San Francisco mayoral candidate in 2007), and drummer Dino Sex. Chicken John left the band within a year of touring, and later voiced negative opinions on GG and the band in the famous documentary GG Allin And The Murder Junkies, directed by Todd Phillips. He was replaced on guitar by William Weber. Dee Dee Ramone joined the band at the same time, but quit within a week. The Murder Junkies recorded their first album, Brutality and Bloodshed for All, for Alive Records in the spring of 1993. Their subsequent tour, which concluded in GG's fatal drug overdose on June 28 of the same year, was chronicled by roadie Evan Cohen in his book The Last Days Of GG Al
