Biography Great White

Great White is an American blues-based Hard Rock band, popular mainly in the late 1980s & early 1990s. Despite their having a number of popular albums and moderate success on the singles charts, the band is today remembered mainly due to their involvement in the 2003 The Station nightclub fire, which led to the deaths of 100 people in West Warwick, Rhode Island.[LINK: http://wm05.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:difpxqe5ld0e~T1] [1] The 1980s Great White started life as Dante Fox, playing their first gig in 1981 at The Troubadour in Hollywood.After recording several demos, the band took on Alan Niven as manager, Niven having worked for independent distributor Greenworld (which dealt with Mötley Crüe's debut self-release) in Torrance, California.
