released on September 23, 1997. It was produced by Björk herself, Howie B,
Guy Sigsworth and Mark Bell and was received with great enthusiasm by
critics, who particularly enjoyed the mix between electronic music and
classical strings.Homogenic has been certified gold in the U.S. It peaked
at number four on the UK Albums Chart.Homogenic was also nominated for Best
Alternative Album at the 1998 Grammys while "Bachelorette" was nominated
for Best Music Video.
The album was re-released in 2006 as a DualDisc including new DTS 96/24
5.1-channel surround sound mixes. The DualDisc also formed part of the box
set.
