Soon after formation, they moved to the UK where they recorded their debut record with Coldplay producer Ken Nelson. The album was released early 2006 on the Bella Union label to critical acclaim, including a 9/10 in the NME [LINK: http://www.nme.com/reviews/howling-bells/7935] [1] and a 7.8/10 in Pitchfork [LINK: http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/record_review/41913-the-howling-bells] [2]. They spent much of the next two years touring; mostly in Europe, including the Reading and Leeds Festivals. Howling Bells are currently writing for their highly anticipated second album, due for release early-mid 2008. Band members
