    Iain Archer is a singer/songwriter from Bangor, Northern Ireland, who was once a secondary lyricist within the indie band Snow Patrol. Archer comes from a musical background and released several solo albums in the mid 90s on the small Scottish independent label Sticky Music. After a stint with Snow Patrol and a side project with Snow Patrol's frontman Gary Lightbody in Reindeer Section, he returned to his solo career. In 2004 he released his album Flood The Tanks. In 2005, Archer picked up an Ivor Novello Award as part of the songwriting team behind Snow Patrol's Final Straw album. "Canal Song" from Archer's latest album, Magnetic North, recently featured on Grey's Anatomy Season 3 Episode 14 (Wishin' and Hopin') and Everything I've Got, from the same album was used as iTunes Free Single of the Week during late March/ early April 2007. He also contributed vocals to the 2006 album Waiting
