I:Scintilla is an industrial rock band from Champaign, Illinois. I:Scintilla was originally formed in 2003 by Brittany Bindrim (Vocals), Chad Mines (Guitar), and Jim Cookas (Guitar/synthesizer/programming). Upon releasing their debut album The Approach under the label of Positron! Records in 2004, they managed to gain a fanbase in a short amount of time. I:Scintilla perform throughout Illinois and especially in Chicago, and just recently performed at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen "ParkBuehne" outdoor stage, in Leipzig, Germany with an overwhelming crowd response. In 2006 they signed to the Belgian industrial label Alfa Matrix and released the EP "Havestar" which got them lots of recognition. With the album Optics -which recently cracked the Deutsche Alternative Charts top ten - under their arm they convinced such bands as Mortiis, Combichrist, Clan Of Xymox and many more to deliver remixes for a bonus disc.
