Jabbar (real name Nawaf Al-Bilali) is a fictional character in The 99 comics. Fictional character biography Nawaf was a normal teenager until an explosion shattered a hidden Noor stone, embedding shards of the stone in Nawaf's skin. The explosion didn't kill Nawaf, but the slivers of gemstone that lodged in his body triggered a transformation in the gawky teenager. He was transformed into a giant, standing over 2 metres tall and weighing almost 200 kilograms. His slightest touch could shatter a brick wall.
