[1] who was the second winner of the reality television series Canadian
Idol.
Canadian Idol Beating out 8,977 other contestants, Porter was crowned
"Idol" on September 16, 2004 in front of a live TV audience. He is the
only Idol who was never in the bottom two or three. Idol judge Zack Werner
nicknamed Porter "The Little Prince" due to his resemblance to the title
character of Antoine de Saint-Exupery's children's book of the same name.
