Although the series primarily follows the relationship of the two main characters, elements of magical girl and mecha themes help carry the plot. The series began as a manga in 2004, enjoying a very short run in Japan, as only fourteen chapters were published by Kadokawa Shoten and serialized in the Sh?nen Ace manga magazine during the course of 8 months. Following the manga, an anime series was created spanning 12 episodes, airing while the manga barely started serialization.
