She sings in george and Elixir, and also sings duets with her mother, Maggie Noonan. Musical career and personal life Katie Noonan grew up with a strong background in classical music with her mother Maggie Noonan being a well-known opera singer. She studied opera and jazz at the Queensland Conservatorium. Katie founded the band george with her brother Tyrone, with whom she shares lead vocals, in 1996 to enter a university music competition.
