Biography Kill Your Idols

Kill Your Idols
Kill Your Idols was an American hardcore punk band from New York. They have released numerous CDs and LPs. As of January, 2006 they will have been together for ten years and will celebrate by playing an anniversary show with friends Inhuman, Ensign, Two Man Advantage, Shell Shock and others at CBGB.

Breakup

On October 2,2006 the band announced on their MySpace page that Summer 2007, the band will break up. They played their last set in the parking lot behind a rehearsal/practice space in Babylon, New York on May 13th, 2007 after they were not allowed to play the originally scheduled last show at the Smithtown Masonic Hall in Smithtown, New York by the Suffolk County Sherrif's Department due to overcrowding at the venue.

Their last set list in the parking lot:

What I've Become
Right Now
Hardcore Circa 1999
Autumn
Funeral For a Feeling
Can't Take It Away

Gary Bennett and Paul Delaney will continue to play in Deathcycle, with long time friends Ron Grimaldi, the "6th member" of KYI, and John Lafata of Neglect/Mind Over Mater/Madball. The two (Bennett/Delaney) also started a metal project called Black Anvil which includes ex- Kill Your Idols drummer Raeph Glicken. Brian Meehan will continue along with Celebrity Murders, along side Milhouse bandmate, singer and long time friend Artie Philie. Vinnie Value will be playing with SSSP, a side project started with former bassist Mike DeLorenzo. Andy West will be taking a much needed break from the music scene.
