This article is about the band Klamydia, for the sexually transmitted disease, see Chlamydia. Klamydia (Finnish for Chlamydia) is a punk rock band from Vaasa, Finland. The band was assembled in year 1988, and it has been continuously active since then. The history of the band is long and eventful. The band has published lots of records with very short interval (about one LP per year), and it has experienced many line-up changes. The only original member is the current vocalist, Vesa "Vesku" Jokinen, who is also the front figure of the band. Klamydia has always been renowned as a humour-band, but they have a lot of songs criticising the society, and other songs about serious subjects, like incest and also some love songs. Even though, critics haven't appreciated Klamydia's records much.
