Kroda (Ukrainian ?????) is a pagan folk black metal band from Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. Bio Kroda was formed in 2003 by members Eisenslav and Viterzgir. Their lyrics touch the themes of nature, paganism, and history. For this reason, some tag Kroda's music as pagan folk black metal. It is well-known that the members of the band are involved in far right-wing political circles, and because of this they are also frequently tagged as National Socialist black metal. However, with the possible exception of a reference to "the Aryan Spirit" on the first album's "Hoarfrost of Blood," there are no elements of National Socialism in the band's music or lyrics. On the 14th of February, 2005, they published their first release, Cry to Me, River..., on Stellar Winter Records (Russia) and Rarog Production (Ukraine).
