Kym Mazelle (born Kimberley Grigsby in 1960, in Gary, Indiana, U.S.A) is an American Dance-pop, Hi-NRG, soul music, and House music singer. She was brought up and lived on the same street as the Jackson family and knew Michael Jackson's mother and uncle. Career Early in her career, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, she enjoyed major success in the European music scene, and performed as a member of Soul II Soul. Her second album, Brilliant! was released Stateside on the major label, Capitol Records. The album became a modest success. However she is probably best known as the singer of the cover version of the song "Young Hearts Run Free", in the 1996 Baz Luhrmann film, William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet. She also appears on two live albums of funk saxman Maceo Parker, Live on Planet Groove and My First Name is Maceo. In 2005, she participated in the British version of the Reality T
