Morgana Lefay (known as "Damage" from 1986 until 1989) is a heavy/thrash metal band from the town Bollnäs in Sweden. Sounding like a mixture of bands such as Savatage, Pantera and Iron Maiden with the crunch of early Metallica albums. It is named after Morgan Le Fay of the Arthurian cycle. In 1997, Morgana Lefay split up. Persson, Heder and Soderling kept the name, but changed style completely.In 1999, a self-titled album was made with Thomas Persson on guitar, featuring traditional hard rock sound. This album is not recognized as a "real" Morgana Lefay album by the present incarnation of band. Meantime, Rytkönen and Eriksson were joined by members from Fantasmagoria, and continued under the name Lefay,changing record label to Noise Records.
