Lise Darly (born 27 December 1981) is a French singer and was selected to
represent Monaco in the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, held in the
Ukrainian capital of Kyiv (Kiev).
Lise was born in Nice. She made her mark by beating over a hundred rivals
to win the Graine de Star Tour in 1999. She subsequently became a
professional singer in 2001, and in 2003 entered a casting process
designed to uncover fresh talent capable of flying the flag for Monaco in
its first foray for many years into the Eurovision Song Contest fray,
scheduled for the following year. She ultimately finished runner-up,
although the selectors admitted they had almost picked her as the winner.
She thus became the obvious choice to represent Monaco in the 2005
contest.
In Kiev, Lise sang a love song entitled Tout de moi (All of me), written
by Philippe Bosco, who also wrote the 2004 Monegasque Eurovision entry,
