    Joseph "Little Joe Blue" Valery, Jr. (born September 23, 1934 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, died April 22, 1990 in Reno, Nevada) was an American blues singer, and guitarist. His music were heavily influenced by the work of Louis Jordan, Joe Liggins, and B.B. King. He has played at the legendary San Francisco Blues Festival in 1974, made later trips to Europe in 1982, and the Chicago Blues Festival in 1986. Shortly before his death, Little Joe Blue recorded a pair of solid LP's that are now available on CD. Both the albums show Blue at his best, playing slick, urban yet still lowdown blues. On the Little Joe Blue's Greatest Hits, the songs include a new version of his most famous song, the classic "Dirty Work Going On", which has since become a blues standard, "Encourage Me Baby", "Don't Start Me to Talking" and Little Milton's "How Could You Do It to Me".
