Mario Winans is an American R&B and gospel music producer, writer, and singer. He is best known as an artist for his 2004 top five album in the UK and the U.S., Hurt No More, and his top five smash single, "I Don't Wanna Know". Early years Mario Winans was born on the 27th of August in Baltimore, Maryland but grew up in Detroit. He is a member of gospel music's most notable family The Winans by marriage as he is the son of Bishop Ronald E. Brown and Vickie Winans (NOTE: Bishop Ronald E. Brown was her first husband, but Mario took the Winans last name after her marriage to Marvin Winans). Winans started out learning music in school learning piano, keyboards, and drums. His mother Vicki Winans bought him a roomful of recording equipment, and he learned the function of every piece of equipment.
