    Maxine Brown (born April 27 1932 in Campti, Louisiana) is an American country music singer, who was originally a member of the successful singing group, The Browns. While still a toddler, her family moved to a farm near Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Encouraged by her parents, she began singing and performing at local venues. As a singing duet with her younger brother Jim Ed Brown (born James Edward Brown, 1 April 1934), she signed a recording contract in 1954. Baby sister Bonnie Brown joined them in 1955, and the trio went on to become a highly successful, and respected group, and members of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee until finally disbanding in 1967.
