The duo of Dieter Moebius and Conny Plank was an offshoot of Cluster that recorded five albums between 1979 and 1986. Plank died of cancer in 1987. Their final two albums were released posthumously in 1995 and 1998. Their output was electronic music, much of which set the stage for later techno and electronica artists.
