Nadirah Shakoor is an American vocalist, best known for her work as the female lead singer for the rap group Arrested Development. As a member Arrested Development from 1993 until1995 she was nominated for a Grammy for their 2nd album "Zingalamaduni", Nadirah is also featured in their MTV Unplugged DVD and CD. In 1995 she joined Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band and is still touring with them as the featured female Vocalist. Nadirah has also toured and/or recorded with Madonna, Al Jarreau, Paula Abdul and Quincy Jones, Jasmine Guy, Howard Hewit to name a few. Her debut CD "Soul Power" (Toshiba/EMI Japan) was produced by Speech, and her next two projects, "NadirahSongs" and "Obsessed With Peace Vol. I" were released independently.
