Negramaro is an Italian rock band formed in 1999 and successful since 2005.
Their name stems from Negroamaro, a wine produced in their native region,
Salento.
Their first hit was the single Come sempre. They took part in the Sanremo
festival in 2005 in the "new suggestions" section. Then they released the
top-selling album Mentre tutto scorre, including famous singles like
Estate, Solo 3 minuti and Nuvole e lenzuola and currently 9th in Italian
selling chart. In September 2006 they were awarded the Best Performance
prize at the Festivalbar finals held in Verona. One year later, in
September 2007, they won the Festivalbar finals with the song "Parlami
d'amore".
