New Found Glory
New Found Glory are an American pop punk band that formed in 1997 in Coral Springs, Florida, and is currently based in California.

History

New Found Glory formed in the middle of 1997 with Jordan Pundik on vocals, Chad Gilbert (formerly of metalcore band Shai Hulud) Steve Klein on guitar, Ian Grushka on bass and Joe Moreno on drums. The band's first release was 1997's It's All About the Girls EP, released by Fiddler Records in June. Soon after the recording of It's All About the Girls, Moreno was replaced by current drummer Cyrus Bolooki. Their subsequent debut album Nothing Gold Can Stay was released by Eulogy Recordings; the release of this album combined with an extensive touring schedule soon earned the band a significant following.

2000 - 2006

The band then signed to Drive-Thru Records MTV MTV band Bio of New Found Glory, releasing an EP titled From the Screen to Your Stereo in 2000. Their self titled album A New Found Glory was then released by MCA Records, who had taken notice of the band's success while on Drive-Thru.The band's third studio album, Sticks and Stones, was released in 2002. This release was followed by their second appearance on the Warped Tour Live Daily Vans Warped Tour.

The album Catalyst was released in May 2004 and it debuted at number 3 on the Billboard album chart in late May, selling 146,000 albums in its first week MusicStore Catalyst peaked at No.3 LyricsFreak Summary of the band.

After the release and tour in support of Catalyst, the band took an extended break before beginning preproduction for another album in 2005. On June 14, 2006, Gilbert announced to MTV.com that their fifth album would be titled Coming Home and that it was scheduled to be released on September 19, 2006. He also stated that first single, It's Not Your Fault would be released sometime in July 2006 MTV MTV news article Coming Home .

2007 - Present

From the Screen to Your Stereo Part II, the band's follow up to From the Screen to Your Stereo, was released on September 18 2007. Unlike the earlier EP, Part II is a full-length album, containing 11 songs plus one bonus track for the Japanese edition and iTunes. The first single from the album was Kiss Me Absolute Punk and the video can be viewed on MySpaceTV.
In a recent interview, lead guitarist Chad Gilbert stated that a new album will be released hopefully in the summer of 2008.According to AbsolutePunk.net, the band will release a 7" record with 3 tracks on Bridge 9 Records containing both new material and covers of classic hardcore punk songs.
