Om Shanti Om (Hindi: ?? ?????? ??, Urdu: ??? ????? ???) is a Bollywood film directed and choreographed by Farah Khan. It stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles as the protagonists while Shreyas Talpade, Arjun Rampal, and Kirron Kher feature in supporting roles. Arjun Rampal is the antagonist in the movie. Nearly thirty stars from yesteryear and today are referred to or show up during the duration of the film, including twenty-eight of them (not including the stars of the film) in one song alone. Synopsis Om Prakash Makhija (Shah Rukh Khan) is a junior artist in the 1970s film industry. He and his friend Pappu (Shreyas Talpade) are trying to become big heroes in the film industry. Om?s mother, Bela Makhija (Kirron Kher), inspires and encourages her son to become a hero. Om?s love interest is the country's heart throb and the star of the film, Dream Girl, Shantipriya (Deepika Padukone).
